Iain McDougall targeting top 10 in second Supercheap Auto TCR Australia season
Iain McDougall was one of last season’s most improved after his maiden campaign in Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, but is aiming to gain further top 10 finishes in 2023.
Running under the Challenge Motorsport moniker featuring support from Melbourne Performance Centre, McDougall finished a best of ninth at Sandown in his first generation Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
Sporting an eye catching retro livery inspired by Audi’s successful history at Le Mans during the 2000s, the Victorian went onto finish 16th in the standings after missing the opening round at AWC Race Tasmania last season.
Confirming a two-year program, McDougall will participate in the two TCR World Tour rounds to be held in alignment with the final Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series rounds including the season ending event at Bathurst.
Challenge Motorsport also welcomes expanded support from long-time backer Auto Plus More in 2023, with the Audi receiving a fresh livery to be revealed at AWC Race Tasmania.
McDougall is set to join a competitive field at AWC Race Tasmania on February 24-26.

Stan Sport will provide live, uninterrupted and on-demand coverage of all Shannons SpeedSeries rounds. AWC Race Tasmania will also feature free-to-air broadcasting on the Nine Network’s digital channels on Saturday afternoon from 2-5pm (February 25).
