Cameron Regains Friday Supremacy in Practice 2

Aaron Cameron has gone to the top of the timesheets in practice two for the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at AWC Race Tasmania.

Zac Soutar was fastest for Tufflift Racing in the early running, when a red flag came out for Brad Harris who became beached in the gravel trap at the hairpin. At the time, Soutar led Tony D’Alberto, Cameron, Josh Buchan and Dylan O’Keeffe.

The session resumed with just under 20 minutes remaining, however Soutar completed just three more laps before he was sidelined for the bulk of the session with a driveshaft problem.

Drivers continuously improved as they logged laps, with O’Keeffe, Tom Oliphant, Will Harris and Glenn Nirwan all clocking the most mileage with 22 laps.

Cameron improved on his 16th lap to hit the top by a respectable two tenths of a second, while second to seventh were separated by just three tenths.

D’Alberto was second, from Brad Harris in third, Jordan Cox and Buchan the top five.

Qualifying takes place at 12:05pm AEDT tomorrow afternoon.
