Kyle Gurton takes maiden Turtle Wax Trans Am Series pole position

Young gun Kyle Gurton has scored his maiden Turtle Wax Trans Am Series pole position, while reigning champion Nathan Herne will start from the second row in what was a surprising session at Symmons Plains.

Split into two sessions for the top and bottom half of the 26-car field, rookie Cody Burcher leading the first session. In fact, Burcher’s time in the ex-James Moffat Ford Mustang placed him seventh as the top 15 finished within a second.
