Jordan Cox makes Peugeot switch for 2022 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series

Garry Rogers Motorsport (GRM) has confirmed Jordan Cox will return as one of its TCR drivers for the 2022 season switching from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta to the Peugeot 308 ahead of the AWC Race Tasmania event.

Cox scored four race wins during last year’s series and was able to adapt quickly to the Peugeot.

“I spent the day at Winton learning the new Peugeot as it is quite different to the Alfa Romeo I drove last year,” said Cox.

“I can’t wait to spend the year in it, the Peugeot is a fantastic car and we’ll hit the ground running when we get to Tassie.

“Bring it on!”

Barry Rogers, Director of Garry Rogers Motorsport confirmed Cox’s move from the Alfa to the Peugeot for this season.

“Jordan was very impressed with how refined the Peugeot was and he’s a front wheel drive expert so I think he’ll do a tremendous job in the Peugeot when the season starts,” he said.

Marcos Ambrose, Competition Director for Garry Rogers Motorsport said Jordan is a really exciting driver for the series.

“He’s got a lot of flair and I’ll be really interested to see how he goes in the Peugeot. He’s certainly a championship contender,” he said.

AWC Race Tasmania will launch the 2022 Australian motorsport season featuring Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship and the Turtle Wax Trans Am Series.
